C & C design features two flowers, Crocus and Clematis.

Crocus is known as one of the most expensive spices. It grows in Europe, North America and parts of China. Crocus flower is also used as a symbol of youthfulness and joy.

Clematis is an adaptable climbing plant with lots of flowers. It has many beautiful flowering cultivars that are loved by gardeners. Clematis often symbolizes ingenuity because of its ability to climb obstacles and other plants.

Verdant Chain

Verdant chain is a series of hand carved pendants featuring various flowers and plants. Inspiration for this series comes from a herbarium – botanical collections of preserved flowers and plants.

The rectangular shape of the pendants represents the labels that usually accompany each flower or plant specimen in a herbarium.

Flowers are carved in a simple yet realistic style with a smooth background, mimicking a plant specimen display on a white sheet of paper.

Materials

The wood of choice for this series is rosewood. It is a hard exotic species of wood. One of the reasons for its hardness are very small wood pores. This makes it ideal for carving tiny details, because its hardness allows for more control during carving since the wood is removed at a slower pace.

The string is made from kangaroo leather, which is one of the strongest leathers available. Kangaroo leather is lighter and much stronger in comparison to cowhide or goatskin.

Stainless steel has high corrosion resistance compared to other non-precious metals often used in jewelry. Its superior strength and modern appearance make it an excellent choice for jewelry segments that are subjected to wear.
